About Te Waiariki Ngāti Korora Ngāti Takapari Trust
Te Waiariki Ngati Korora Ngati Takapari Hapu Iwi Trust was formed on 3rd May 1997 at a Hui held at Ngararatunua Marae. The Hui was advertised by Miriama Mahanga, Wiremu Mahanga, Haane Kingi, Kerepeti Te Peke Paraone & other Kaumatua of the time.
The hui was attended by over 35 Kaumatua including Jim Kopa, Tom Cooper, Cissy Pitman, Cee Gilbert, Ani Phillips, Tata Mei and Kupai Mahanga to name a few. Ngati Takapari was included in the Trust a few years later, via a Hui with Ngati Takapari Kaumatua of the time who requested to be included in the Trust due to the whakapapa.
The Te Waiariki Ngati Korora Ngati Takapari Hapu Iwi Trust is a registered Charitable Trust.
